Perched atop Nob Hill, The Huntington Hotel has long stood as a defining presence in San Francisco’s cultural landscape. Set in one of the city’s most storied neighborhoods—known for its grand architecture, leafy parks, and cable car crossings—The Huntington was originally imagined in 1922 by architects Weeks & Day as a luxury apartment building, but opened as a hotel only two years later in 1924. That ageless residential sensibility has been preserved ever since in a stay that feels wholly of the city, just minutes from Union Square, Chinatown, and the Financial District.
In its new era, The Huntington reanimates original Georgian architectural elegance with hand-finished details, richly textured furnishings, luminous rooms, and sweeping views from Huntington Park and the city to the Bay. Guests will find familiar favorites in the formidable Big Four restaurant and Nob Hill Spa and a new jewel-box lobby cocktail salon, Arabella’s.

The Fitness Center
On the second floor, handsomely appointed with wood-paneled walls and inset mirrors, the Fitness Center is available during spa hours for guests of Nob Hill Spa. With the elegance of a luxury home gym, the 1,800 sq. ft. space offers inspired classes, flexible personal training and high performance equipment.
Hunt & Gather
Tucked into the Concierge Lounge, Hunt & Gather is a curated retail vitrine featuring brands, products and curiosities with The Huntington’s signature stamp of approval. Our first collection stars gifts, books, home goods and pet accessories from designer Ken Fulk.
Huntington Park
Just across the street, like the hotel’s front garden, Huntington Park greets guests and neighbors for morning tai chi, afternoon picnics and informal gatherings around the famed fountain of the turtles. San Francisco native son, Ken Fulk, brings his signature lush and layered sensibility to the Huntington Hotel with elegant restraint and a preservationist’s eye. By reimagining the hotel as a grand residence, the Huntington’s storied bones and built-in legacy take the lead in returning a crown jewel to the city of San Francisco.
The Majordomo
In the tradition of great houses and ancestral homes, The Huntington’s Majordomo is the hand that guides the Huntington experience. From greeting guests on arrival to ensuring guest rooms are perfectly prepared for individual tastes, she oversees the thoughtful comforts and small touches that define a signature stay at The Huntington Hotel.
In Room Dining
Peckish guests of The Huntington Hotel may order in-room dining delivered day to night. A menu composed of favorite dishes from The Big Four and a sommelier selection of wines make for sophisticated meals at nearly any hour.
Guest Pets
At The Huntington, canine companions are welcome guests of the house. Each pet will enjoy a plush bed, dog toy, curated organic treats, and other thoughtful essentials for a comfortable stay. Across the street, Huntington Park offers plenty of fresh air and social hours with Nob Hill’s four-legged residents.
